Animal Aunts 4 Pets is a professional pet sitting and inhome services company started in 2006 in the city of Placitas, NM.  The company has enjoyed a healthy reputation in the rural community, south of Santa Fe and north of Albuquerque.  Founded by Sherry Suhosky, Animal Aunts 4 Pets, the company has experienced rapid growth and employs five time employees.

The pet needs of Placitas are diverse and because of this, constant education and training are needed to ensure  proper care, and exceed the clients’ expectations.  Pets that live in households in Placitas have many playmates, four being the norm.  Clients’ pets range from dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, sheep, llamas, alpacas, rabbits, fresh and salt water fish, sugar gliders, ferrets, birds, various amphibians, reptiles, and pot bellied pigs.  Among the services that Animal Aunts 4 Pets offers are daily, in-home visits, dog walks, overnights, food, hay and alfalfa delivery, pet transportation to vets and groomers, and assistance with out of state moves. Recently, Animal Aunts 4 Pets has also partnered with a doggie day care.

Before becoming a professional pet sitter, Suhosky faithfully served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps, she was a photojournalist, newspaper editor, writer, broadcast journalist, public relations expert, recruiter, and drill instructor. Suhosky was also fortunate enough to work with J. Walter Thompson, Inc, to develop Addy winning television commercials.

Following her career in the Marine Corps, Suhosky was elected as President of the United States Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association, a non-profit organization for active duty, former and retired Marines who served in the public affairs, television, radio, photo and art fields. During her tenure, the USMCCCA Foundation allowed private sector partnerships to support the association.
