#7 VOLUNTEER 

As you know, NAPPS is the only national, non-profit professional pet sitting association created to provide education, certification and resources to its members.

Members play a part in the exciting growth of the professional pet care industry and have a voice in the association’s affairs and governance. The continued success of NAPPS is fueled by the continual dedication of members who volunteer to serve on committees, to mentor colleagues and much more. This work cannot be done without dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer team members.

 I have served as the NAPPS Volunteer Coordinator for a year and have greatly enjoyed my time! I don’t feel like I reaped the full benefit of being a NAPPS member until I started volunteering. My favorite part of my role is connecting with like-minded individuals. I love connecting with others in the pet industry from around the nation to hear what they are working on, share laughs about the things only pet care professionals deal with, and the lessons learned along the way. NAPPS is so great because of its volunteers. Real pet care professionals are able to collaborate to discuss what the industry needs and make ideas reality. I am proud to serve as the Volunteer Coordinator for NAPPS.

We need your help to continue to provide the best possible programs and services.  We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:

• Marketing Committee – Feed your entrepreneurial spirit by joining the NAPPS Marketing Committee! We are working on the website blog and developing creative strategies for the overall marketing of NAPPS and its committees. We have an immediate need for writers to make weekly blog contributions.

• Membership Committee – Committee volunteers connect with new, current, and potential members in an effort to expand NAPPS' reach amongst professional pet sitters everywhere.

• Member Benefits Committee – The Member Benefits Committee is charged with letting NAPPS members know about the exceptional benefits offered by their organization in several different ways.

• Conference - If you have experience with meeting planning, conference management, and/or food and beverage ~ we need YOU to help prepare for the 2024 event and plan the 2025 event! 

And it’s not all one-sided.  The majority of current volunteers boast huge business improvements and growth since they started volunteering with NAPPS.  The time it takes to help our organization is also filled with access to some of the best and brightest in our profession.  New ideas are generated that help our members’ businesses and our own.
